We’ve heard a lot from GPs and administrators about the positive impact this is having on day-to-day workload, but how are patients responding to this change taking place across primary care? We sought to find out.

There is abundant waste and inefficiency in our current outpatient model, with high repetition and duplication of effort. This leads to a loss of staff productivity due to wasted time, and patient confusion in navigating their care. If we are to transform outpatient care and bring it into the 21st century, we should start with something as simple as fixing our communication. In this piece, I want to examine where there is room for improvement.
